  2. Members: Leonhard Melde
  3. Strategy sector: sustainability and environmental management

presentation From Fuel to Future

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we are transitioning our company vehicle fl eet from combustion engines to electric and hybrid models. This shift is aimed at signifi cantly reducing our CO₂ emissions and aligning our operations with environmentally responsible practices. The strategy focuses on two key measures:(1) engaging employees through targeted information campaigns via Viva Engage to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles.(2) expanding on-site charging infrastructure to ensure seamless support for EV usage.Together, these actions position us to lead by example in the journey toward greener mobility.

The strategy is feasible because electric and hybrid vehicles are increasingly cost-eff ective and widely available. By using internal communication tools like Viva Engage, we can effi ciently raise awareness and encourage adoption. Expanding the charging infrastructure at our site ensures practical support for daily use, making the transition both realistic and sustainable.

The strategy is innovative because it links fl eet electrifi cation with employee engagement, using internal social tools to drive behavioral change. It goes beyond infrastructure by actively involving staff in the shift toward sustainability.

The strategy is adaptable because it relies on widely available technologies and fl exible communication tools. Any organization with a vehicle fl eet and internal communication platform can tailor this approach to fi t their size, budget, and sustainability goals.

This strategy not only reduces emissions but also strengthens the company's image as a forward-thinking, responsible employer. It lays the groundwork for long-term sustainability and can inspire similar initiatives across departments. A win for the planet and the team.
